Аверс. Всё поле монеты занимает фигура молотобойца с занесённой над головой кувалдой. Перед ним справа внизу находится наковальня. На заднем плане изображены плуг, серп, шестерни. Ниже под чертой, изображающей пол, дата изготовления: «1924». По окружности, вдоль канта, нанесена линия, состоящая из точек.
Реверс. Верхняя половина поля занята изображением герба Страны Советов... По бокам гербового рисунка изображены начальные буквы названия государства: СССР. По две с каждой стороны.
Ниже, под широкой чертой, надпись номинала монеты: «ОДИН ПОЛТИННИК»...

In the background are a plow, sickle, gears. Below, under the line representing the floor, the date of manufacture: "1924". Along the circumference, along the edge, a line consisting of dots is drawn.
The reverse. The upper half of the field is occupied by the coat of arms of the Soviet Union... On the sides of the coat of arms are the initial letters of the name of the state: the USSR. Two on each side... Below, under the wide line, the inscription of the face value of the coin: "One poltinnik".
